Research interests

Dr James Griffin is Head of Department for Marketing, Enterprise & Digital Communications at the Technological University of the Shannon in Ireland. He received his Ph.D. in 2002. Entitled “An Examination and Analysis of the Internet Adoption and Implementation Experience within SMEs in the Republic of Ireland”, his doctorate was awarded by the University of Limerick, Ireland. Since that time, Dr Griffin has worked continuously in third level education in Ireland within a number of Higher Education Institutes. He has published and presented internationally in an array of academic fields including technology diffusion patterns amongst SMEs, franchise modelling and entrepreneurial cluster management, the role of traditional sports and games in community development and emerging issues in educational strategy and pedagogical development. James is currently a member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Management and Enterprise Development.
