Research interests
Davids research utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach through the use of concurrent physiological, nutritional, and biomechanical methodologies. Current projects and research interest includes; Exercise Training Specificity, The Energy Demands, Nutritional Knowledge and Dietary Intake of Adolescent Team Sport Players and Performance Profiling of elite and sub-elite team sport athletes.
Personal profile
David is originally from Tubbercurry, Co Sligo. He teaches across the Sport Science, Athletic Therapy and Physical Activity programs, specifically in the area of Applied Sport Science. He obtained a BSc in Sport Science and Health (2010) and a PhD in Exercise Physiology (2014), both at DCU. David is interested in improving the training standards of individual and team sport athletes. He is a former Gaelic Games Player and has continued his involvement through his work with local and national level working groups, both with the GAA and GPA.
