You know that Polymer and Mechanical Engineering is a growth industry with excellent employment prospects and a growing need for graduates. You know that renewable energy is one of the biggest engineering challenges of our time.
We were pioneers in polymer education in Ireland, and have contributed to the development of many major polymer technology industries in the Midlands, such as Athlone Extrusions, making our student placements truly valuable.
We offer specialised degrees in mechanical and polymer engineering and another in mechanical engineering and renewable energy. We are the only technological university in Ireland accredited to award PhD qualifications in polymer engineering.
